2016 Balloon Festival at Southern Hills Hospital, Las Vegas

The Las Vegas Balloon Festival is a spooktacular celebration that boasts hot air balloon rides and fun for the whole family. The three-day event features daytime tethered balloon excursions, carnival rides and attractions, trick-or-treating, a health fair and a night glow show. Proceeds benefit the foundation for public education.


Friday, Oct. 21

Noon to 11 p.m. - Amusement rides & carnival games open
5 p.m. - Prize Time! Report to the DJ booth
5 to 10 p.m. - Vendors open
5 to 7 p.m. - Balloon Glow Show
5 to 9 p.m. - Kids’ arts & crafts, face painting & more!
Saturday, Oct. 22

6 to 8 a.m. - Hot air balloons prepare and launch (weather permitting)
7 a.m. to 11 p.m. - Amusement rides & carnival games open
7 a.m. to 10 p.m. - Vendors open
8 a.m. to 8 p.m. - Kids’ arts & crafts, face painting & more!
9 a.m. - Tethered balloon rides open (weather permitting)

The event benefits Nevada high school students interested in the healthcare field through the Southern Hills Hospital High School to Healthcare Scholarship program and The Public Education Foundation. Thanks to sponsor and vendor support, Southern Hills Hospital has awarded $60,000 to 15 Nevada high school seniors since 2014. The students receive $1,000 each for four years toward their college education.
