Oswestry Balloon Fiesta

Oswestry Balloon Festival is an annual event bringing lots of colourful hot air balloons to the skies above Oswestry.

You may have seen media coverage regarding the Wales International Balloon Festival moving to Oswestry.

This year, the festival was organised for the first time by Nightingale House Hospice to raise money to provide support for terminally ill patients and their families. Whilst the festival was a huge success and did raise money for the Hospice it was a considerable drain on valuable resources in order to stage the event.

The British Ironworks in Oswestry, sponsored the Hare and Hounds Balloon race which took place on the Sunday afternoon, they have approached us and have offered to hold and organise a Balloon Festival in 2017 and will donate the profits to Nightingale House Hospice. As Nightingale House provides palliative care for adults in the Oswestry area, we are very grateful for this opportunity and the support of the British Ironworks to stage this event on our behalf.
