Vredefeesten 2019

The Vredefeesten are the top event in Sint-Niklaas. Every year during the first weekend of September, numerous colourful hot-air balloons in all manner of shapes and sizes rise into the air. This renowned balloon happening is the only one in the world with an ascent area in a city centre! You can also enjoy different styles of music on six stages during the city festival Villa Pace, sample cuisine from around the world on the world market, or be enchanted by the city centre as you walk around during the balloon happening. There is something for everyone, including a spectacular fireworks display, a nostalgic fairground and many other related activities.
