About This Festival

Hundreds of thousands of spectators gather for Europe’s largest ballooning event, the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta. Witness a mass ascent of balloons lifting into the sky all at once, filling it with color. The festival has grown year after year since its inception, with over 100 balloons of all shapes and sizes taking flight over the course of four days. The popular Night Glow sees the balloons inflated and glowing to music after the sun sets and is followed by a dazzling fireworks display. There is also a variety of entertainment throughout the festival, and arena events both on the ground and in the air make for a fanciful weekend at Ashton Court Estate.
