Balloon Over Bavaria

Do you live within a 10 mile radius of Frankenmuth? If so and you would like to allow a Hot Air Balloon to land or launch from your property, please place a white sheet on the spot starting Friday early morning until Monday afternoon. Make sure your sheet can be seen from the air and when a Balloon Pilot sees it he knows you give him permission to land. Thank You for welcoming the Hot Air Balloons to our community!

Friday, May 27
Arrival: All Balloon Teams Arrive in Frankenmuth in the morning.
7:00 – 8:30 PM
Flight #1 – Evening Competition and flight activity. Flight to launch from Frankenmuth River Place Field (East of River Place Shops)
9:00 – 10:00 PM
15 Balloon Glow Event – Frankenmuth River Place Shops Field. Experience the Village of Balloons! Watch 15+ tethered balloons inflate then interact with the pilots & crew.
Saturday, May 28
6:00 – 8:00 AM
Flight #2 – Morning Competition and flight activity. Flight to launch up-wind of downtown Frankenmuth & Fly over Community
7:00 – 8:30 PM
Flight #3 – Evening Competition and flight activity. Flight to launch from Frankenmuth River Place Shops Field (East of River Place Shops)
9:00 – 10:00 PM
