An Event Like No Other

For nine days in October, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta® creates an enchanted world of special-shaped balloon rodeos, twilight balloon glows, and vibrant balloon-filled skies. Brisk autumn mornings in the Rio Grande Valley create an otherworldly backdrop for the breathtaking majesty of our most popular event, Mass Ascension of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta®.

Any local will tell you that October is the most beautiful time of year in New Mexico, made so in large part by the much anticipated sight of colorful balloons punctuating the skyline. During this season, the sky is bluer, the days are gentler, and the mornings crisper -- almost as though the landscape has taken a deep sigh -- and on the desert’s warm breath sails the annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.

AMAZING (11 October 2020)

My sister and mom surprised me with a trip for all of us to go to the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Albuquerque, NM 2020. Due to Corona, this celebration was canceled however we took a chance and still went after seeing some news articles stating that some balloon pilots will still be launching... WOW WERE WE ALL AMAZED AND IT WAS ONLY ABOUT 100 BALLOONS WE SAW... a local told its the most amazing thing you'll ever see if the whole 550 to 600 balloons actually launch... I had the most amazing time with my family... I WILL NEVER FORGET IT. My sister was already planning our 2021 Hot Air Balloon trip before we even got to the airport to go back home... Thank you for listening... I highly suggest all to go and check it out. (P.S. we took my 6yoa and 8yoa nieces and they had a blast as well).

BalloonFest 2019 (24 November 2019)

It’s been weeks since my daughter-in-law and I, met in Albuquerque to experience our first ever Balloon Fiesta. I’m still smiling. I review my beautiful photos. I will treasure the memories forever. I purchased the upgraded Gondola package, I’m planning on doing the same for 2020.
