XXXVII INTERNATIONAL MERCAT DEL RAM BALLOON TROPHY 2020

The INTERNATIONAL MERCAT DEL RAM BALLOON TROPHY 2020 is the sporting event in the world of ballooning oldest in Catalonia and the Spanish state, is one of the most prestigious events in Europe. Held each year during the weekend before easter, every year since 1984 in Vic.

The event lasts about four days (Thursday to Sunday) and attracts crowds of people and spectators. Includes a balloon competition, exhibition flights this year and intend to expand the display part of a "Night Glow" on Friday and Saturday of the Mercat del Ram to Plaça Major of Vic afternoon.

The editions of 1984 to 2003 were performed essentially teams of Catalonia and the rest of the Spanish state. It was from 2004 when some foreign pilots expressed willingness to come flying to Vic and participate in the International Mercat del Ram Balloon Trophy, that's when we seriously we plant the possibility of extensive event the rest of Europe and then to rest of the world.

On latest editions have been flying to Vic teams across Europe (Sweden, France, UK, Netherlands, Italy, Russia, Luxembourg, etc..) And the rest of the world (Mexico, Brazil, USA, etc.).

The spread is such that our sporting event was the most important web sites in the world hot air balloon events such as the prestigious BFA (Balloon Federation of America) among others, as we state below.

Each year both through modern media, like e-mail, web sites, and Facebook, month five thousand invitations to teams around the world are sent.

All this has forced us to the realization of an international educational management to explain where is / its Vic, and above all it is and that is the Mercat del Ram, the greatest festival of all the markets that take place in the city of Vic

During all these years we have seen that our international sporting event has become the best advertising and international dissemination of the fire of Mercat del Ram claim. If something is internationally known Mercat del Ram of Vic is the "Mercat del Ram International Balloon Trophy".

In all editions the icon of a balloons flying over the city of Vic during the Mercat del Ram has made us to be present in all media and especially on television, both local, regional as de Catalonia and also in state TV chains.
